John G. Campbell is the State Affairs Director for the Southern Crop Production Association (SCPA), where he represents member companies across 16 Southern states and Puerto Rico on legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues affecting agriculture.

A native of Greenville, Mississippi, John earned a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Delta State University. He began his public service career with the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce in 2006, where he spent 12 years advancing through several leadership roles, including State Entomologist, Director of the Bureau of Plant Industry, and Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce.

In 2018, John joined the Washington, D.C., staff of U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, advising on agriculture, energy, environmental, telecommunications, and economic development policy. He later returned to Mississippi to serve as State Director of USDA Rural Development.

Since joining SCPA in 2021, John has worked to build coalitions, strengthen industry relationships, and advocate for policies that support agricultural innovation and productivity across the South.
